About Us

My name is Matt Tausch. I grew up in a rural town in Southeastern Louisiana. The youngest of three, I grew up with an interest in drawing, writing, and an innate love of animation. After graduating high school, I attended the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS. I studied commercial art for three years before switching over to their film department where I developed an interest in screenwriting. I graduated with a film degree and moved to LA for a year. After moving back home to New Orleans, I had the good fortune to work on a few movie sets before Hurricane Katrina forced me to relocate to Austin, TX. After several years ironing out screenplays, I decided to return to my first love of animation.

I established Rain Dance as a production studio for my animation projects, as well as an umbrella to release my books.
